5 Songs That Make Me REALLY Happy

Whether I'm on public transit or going for a walk, these songs make me smile

No matter where I'm going, these songs help me kick start the day, or keep my energy up during the day.

In no particular order of ranking, I absolutely love these songs. First, "Kill V. Maim" by Grimes, it has such a punchy beat. I feel like I am playing a video game when it comes on. Grimes' voice is very high pitched, in the best way, and the song gives me an instant burst of energy!

Next, "Huggin & Kissin" by Big Black Delta. If you've seen the HBO hit, "The Sinner," then you are very familiar with this song. It's played several times throughout the series. I just recently re-watched it (for the third time) and I just now discovered the band. In fact, the whole album is fantastic. By the way, its only one guy in the band!

Thirdly, "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd, it just came out today, but I am already obsessed! Its such a great synth-pop song. Its very reminiscent of "Stranger Things." If I directed the music video, I would have Billy running in the night in it. It keeps to The Weeknd's sound of mysteriousness with a little something new. The Weeknd will always make me feel some type of way.

Next is "Venice Bitch" by Lana Del Rey. I've been enjoying this song while on public transit. Its a perfect song to sway to and reflect on how summer is now long gone... Lana Del Rey is another artist that I've been listening to for years now. Her voice never gets old to me. This song is almost 10 mins. long, and I love it.

Lastly, "Green Light" by Lorde, is a classic. One of my best friends and I religiously listen to this song whenever we are in the car together. We instantly belt out every word, it's basically our anthem. It makes me feel powerful and like nothing else matters. Again, I recommend the entire album, "Melodrama."
