Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is a show about Zoey Clarke, a woman who discovers she has a weird power- the ability to hear and see people's inner emotions- via choreographed musical numbers. Zoey is played by Jane Levy, who I was first exposed to on the big screen in Evil Dead (2013) and later in Don't Breathe (2016), both in the horror genre. She was fantastic in both films, but who knew she could also play a quirky (not in the cringey cliche type way) as a programmer and musical powerhouse. Her character is emotional, awkward, and funny.

I found myself invested in the characters, and even found myself singing along sometimes. I was, eventually rooting for both Simon and Max, Zoey's love interests. The show takes us into Zoey's life, her friends, work life, and family life.

I can easily see this show as an actual musical. The sets wouldn't be too hard, and the cast would be just as incredible as the TV show.

Season 1 officially ended last Monday. I recommend you watch it. You will enjoy it! It will warm your heart and put a smile on your face. Something I think we can all use these days.
